Location:

  • Classroom Sessions: USFTA Location – 2186 S Holly St Unit 101-A, Denver, Co 80222.
  • Live Firearm Training: Shoot Indoors Denver

Prerequisites: NRA First Steps Or Equivalent

Class Size: Limited to 8 Students

Total Duration: 8 Hours

Handgun Rental: Not Available

Course Content:

  1. Firearm Safety: Comprehensive exploration of firearm safety principles, covering safe handling, loading/unloading, ammunition management, and secure storage.
  2. Handgun Types and Parts: Detailed understanding of handgun varieties, components, and functionality, facilitated by expert instructors.
  3. Ammunition: Education on ammunition types, components, selection, and safe handling practices.
  4. Fundamentals of Shooting: Practical instruction on grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control, followed by supervised practice sessions.
  5. Marksmanship: Application of shooting fundamentals to achieve accurate and consistent shot placement, with personalized coaching.
  6. Maintenance and Cleaning: Proper techniques for disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling handguns for safety and longevity.
  7. Legal and Ethical Considerations: Insights into self-defense laws, responsible ownership, and ethical firearm use.

Certification:
Successful completion results in an NRA certificate, acknowledging your dedication to responsible firearm ownership and safety.
